We are pleased to have you join us for your studies. Whether you’re staying for five weeks, five months, or longer, we offer the best health care option so you can better focus on your education.

Scholars visiting the University for longer than 31 days are required to enroll in the University-sponsored Student Health Benefit Plan. At the time international visiting scholars arrive at the University of Minnesota, they will have their documents validated by the University. After their documents have been validated, they will be instructed to contact the Office of Student Health Benefits at 1-800-232-9017 or umshbo@umn.edu.
